Janell Strube is a biracial author and poet whose lyrical prose illuminates the search for belonging, dignity, and connection. Drawing on her experience as an adoptee, foster and adoptive mother, and corporate tax executive, she writes about identity and resilience with unflinching honesty. Her forthcoming historical novel, Adélaïde: Painter of the Revolution, follows one of the first women admitted to the French Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. Her poetry has appeared in the San Diego Poetry Annual and A Year in Ink, and excerpts of her memoir have been published in Shaking the Tree: Brazen. Short. Memoir. Janell lives in San Juan Capistrano, California, where she is completing a full-length memoir and developing her next novel.
